The rajma masala is very beneficial to health.Hence, it is recommended to include rajma masala in our diet.

The ingredients of rajma masala are:


  • kidney Beans [rajma]- 3 tbsp
  • Onions- 2 tbsp
  • Garlic- 1/2 clove
  • Ginger- 1 tsp
  • Oil- 1/2 tsp
  • Green chillies finely chopped- 1/2
  • Red chili powder- 1/4 tsp
  • Coriander powder- 1/4 tsp
  • Cumin powder - 1/4 tsp
  • Tomato pureed- 1 tomato
  • Salt- as per taste
  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped- 1 tsp
  • Garam masala powder - 1/4h tsp


  • Soak the kidney beans overnight in water with baking soda.
  • Pessure cook Rajma. Grind onions, garlic, ginger into a smooth paste.
  • Heat oil in a pan. Add onion-ginger and garlic paste and saute it for a minute.
  • Add red chilli powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and cook for a few minutes.
  • Stir in the tomato puree and salt; mix them well. Covered and cook for 15-20minutes.
  • Add garam masala powder and water (as required); cover and cook for another 10-15minutes
  • Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
