RASSEDAR CHANA - NUTRIWELL INDIA, BEST DIETITIAN IN LUCKNOW

The rassedar chana is very beneficial to health.Hence, it is recommended to include rassedar chana in our diet.

The ingredients of rassedar chana are:

INGREDIENTS

  • Horse gram soaked overnight - 30 gms
  • Fresh coriander leaves finely chopped - 2 tablespoons
  • Green chillies chopped - 1
  • Ginger chopped - 1 inch piece
  • Cumin seeds - 1 teaspoon
  • Asafoetida - a pinch
  • Turmeric powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Red chilli powder - 1/4 teaspoon
  • Coriander powder - ½ tsp
  • Tomatoes finely chopped - 20gms
  • Salt - to taste
  • Oil - ½ tsp

DIRECTIONS

  • Grind coriander leaves, green chillies, ginger and salt in a mixer jar.
  • Heat oil in a pressure cooker, add cumin seeds, asafoetida, turmeric powder, red chilli powder and coriander powder and saute till fragrant. Add horse gram and mix well. Now, Add salt and mix.
  • Add tomatoes and mix well.  Saute till the tomatoes become pulpy. Add 2 cups water and mix well.
  • Cover the pressure cooker with the lid and cook on a high heat till 4 whistles are given out
  • Then reduce heat and cook for 3-4 minutes. Open the lid when the pressure reduces completely.
  • Serve hot.
